2023 U-20 World Cup | Brazil vs Nigeria | Flying Eagles Can Beat Brazil – Bosso
Following his team’s triumph over Italy on Wednesday, Flying Eagles boss, Ladan Bosso, has heaped praises on his players for sticking to the game plan, adding that their next opponents, Brazil, are beatable.
It was the Eagles’ second win at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina, which automatically secured a spot for the Nigerian team in the knockout round.
Speaking to CitySports after the match, Bosso said, “For now, it is certain that we have qualified from our group with six points, and those players who have not played in the first two matches, I think we have to give them a chance to showcase themselves, we would play a normal game with Brazil, and I think they are beatable.”

On the back of a 3-2 win over Brazil in their opening game, the Italians were favourites against Nigeria but the Flying Eagles matched the Europeans in a different manner from their first match against the Dominican Republic.
Reacting to the victory, Coach Ladan Bosso heaped praises on his players, he said, “You have seen it, it’s a good thing that we have orientated our boys on how to get the Italians, and we stuck to our tactics. After the first half, we tried to reinforce the team so that if we could not score, we shouldn’t be able to concede, and eventually, it went for us. So that is a good thing that the boys are working according to the tactics, and the praise goes to Almighty Allah that we have gotten the victories.”
Nigeria will travel to face Brazil at the La Plata on Saturday.
