FIFA U-17 WWCQ ¦ Nigeria’s Flamingos To Play Liberia In Final Round

Liberia U-17 Women’s national football team triumphed over Senegal to set up a fourth and final round fixture of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against the Flamingos of Nigeria.

The Liberian girls stunned Senegal 2-0 in the second leg of their third round qualifier.

Louise Brown scored the curtain raiser for the home team late in the first half.

The hosts increased the pressure after the break and were rewarded for their impressive attacking display when Dalphine Glao added the second in the 54th minute.

The Flamingos thrashed Burkina Faso 7-1 on aggregate to earn a place in the next round.

The first leg of the final round between Liberia and Nigeria will take place in Monrovia, Liberia, on Saturday, June 8.

While the reverse fixture will hold at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja one week later.
