Actors Guild Of Nigeria Calls For Reconciliation – Monalisa Chinda
Following the face-off between members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria over the appointment of Senator Elisha Abbo as a patron, the association has called for a reconciliation meeting.
Nollygistv recall that Hilda Dokubo had call out the guild over Abbo’s appointment, supported by Kate Henshaw.
Their outcry triggered a response from the association president Emeka Rollas, where he blasted both Hilda and Kate.
In her reaction to Mr. Rollas’ response, Kate Heanshaw mocked the president by saying, he is always excited in front of camera. “You always have goosebumps when you are on TV, the cameras are pointed at you, and the mic. Keep talking.” Kate had said in her Wednesday morning video.
Meanwhile, the Northern chapter of the association are not pleased with the outcry to de-list Abbo from patrons list. The northern chapter threatened to secede if Senator Abbo’s name exit the list.
However, in order to reconcile their differences, the guild has issued a press release, a copy obtained by Nollygistv, via AGN PRO, Monalisa Chinda.
The press release call for an emergency meeting where all the issues and welfare of members will be addressed.

WE HEARD YOUR VOICES OF CONCERN
This is a special appeal to our teeming members, fans and associates that the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN is mindful of the feelings of some members with regards to the the choice of Senator Ishaku Abbo as National Patron , North East Zone of AGN.
In view of this, the National President , Mr Emeka Rollas Ejezieh, has called for a general meeting of stakeholders on Monday 23/03/2020 at Natives Restaurant and Lounge, Ojo Ologbun Close , off Idejo street , Victoria Island Lagos. Time: 11am.
The object of this meeting is essentially to tackle this issue and other relevant matters relating to the AGN and its quest to improve the welfare of members.
However , a committee has been set up to look immediately into the complaints and indeed grievances of members and make urgent recommendations to the National Executive Committee for immediate action.
We urge our teeming members and in particular those that have expressed strong reservations about this subject in issue to please desist from further comments on social media and join other stakeholders at a professional table of brotherhood on Monday as we collectively engage in a dialogue of hope, unity and harmony in our AGN .
