Edo Queens Win WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers In Ivory Coast
Nigerian Women’s League Champions, Edo Queens, have emerged winners of the WAFU Zone B champions and will represent the zone at this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League, scheduled for November.
Six teams from six African regions will join Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, who qualify as the holders.
Aigles La Medina (Eagles of Medina) from Senegal will represent WAFU Zone A after emerging as the region champions from the qualifying series.
Edo Queens from Nigeria and WAFU Zone B join the Eagles of Medina as the third team already confirmed for the tournament. At the same time, either Gaborone United or the University of Western Cape will represent the COSAFA region.
The CECAFA region qualifying series has reached the semi-final, Rayon Sports WFC, Kawempe Muslims Ladies FC, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia and Simba Queens of Tanzania are the four teams remaining to fight for a slot in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Northern African Region (UNAF) will kick-start their qualifying series on Saturday, the 24th of August in Algeria.
