Yobo Acknowledges His Appointment As Super Eagles Asst. Coach
The newly appointed Super Eagles assistant coach, Joseph Yobo, has accepted the responsibility he’s now saddled with.Th former Super Eagles’ defender and captain announced on Thursday, his readiness to work with the senior national team under tutelage of Coach Genort Rohr.
Speaking via his instagram page, Yobo said he is honoured to be appointed, while he appreciates Nigerians for the opportunity to serve in that capacity.
He reiterated his readiness to take up the new challenge. In his words:
“Delighted to announce my appointment as the new Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles. I’m honoured to be given this opportunity to serve. I’m ready and looking forward to this new chapter.
I’m grateful to God ?? I Thank you all for your overwhelming love and support since this announcement, it means alot.”
The Nigerians Football Federation, NFF announced yobo as the assistant coach of the team via a press release obtained by CitySports on Wednesday.
He replaces Imama Amapakabo in the three-time African champions’ technical crew.
