The skit maker said, “It is totally untrue (that I am being financed by anyone), and I will say they should keep swimming in their ignorance and poverty; If they cannot see the work (we do) and the things we post every day, and realize that those things fetch us money, that is their problem.”

Amarachi who believes it is normal for public figures to often get enmeshed in controversies because they were in the limelight, added that envious people are behind the false allegation and are trying to bring her down.

In her words, “There are many people out there who are full of hate and envy; hence they want to drag others down to their levels and make them as pathetic as they are.”

Amuse said she was confused when the news broke on the Internet because she has never met with the Nigerian Politician. 

She said, “I was shocked, as I did not understand it; especially because I had never met him or had anything to do with him (Dino Melaye).

Ashymushy however contradict herself when she said the blog is anonymous but had earlier stated that she has been discussing business with the owner of the blog.

The two instances of contradictions are as below: 

When Amarachi was asked why she sent the blogger a message if she was indeed innocent, she asserted that it was necessary to refute the allegation adding that, it wasn’t the first time she would be chatting with the blogger. 

In her words, “The blogger and I usually chat even about business, so I sent a message refuting the story. I asked why they posted such false and terrible information (about me) without verifying it first.”

The second instance is her response to whether she will press charges against the blogger or not, and she said, “The blog is anonymous, and that is why they had the effrontery to post such nonsense without verification, so one can’t be pressing charges against the wind.”

Ashymushy added that she is moving on with more cogent things, she concluded, “I am moving on to more important things in my life.”
