Kate Henshaw Joins Hilda Dokubo Over Senator Elisha Abbo On AGN Patrons List
Another Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw-Nuttall, simply known as Kate Henshaw has lend her voice to that of Hilda Dokubo, who called out the Actors Guild of Nigerian for including Senator Elisha Abbo in the list of the organisation’s patrons.
Nollygistv reports that veteran Nollywood actress and a member of the AGN, Hilda, on Monday criticized the inclusion of the senator representing Adamawa North district, in the organisation’s patrons list.
Showing her support for the Kunle Afolayan’s CEO star actress, Kate Henshaw took to her twitter handle to announce her support for the removal of Abbo’s name.
Kate wrote and we quote: “..My name is Kate Henshaw, and I do not mince words when I say Senator Elisha Abbo is not worthy to be a patron of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.”
The “Games men play” actress, goes further to clarify why Abbo should be removed. Kate said and we quote: “we have women in this guild, and we do not want to be slapped.”
Neither the Actors Guild of Nigeria nor senator Elisha Abbo has responded to this rising call out by female actresses.
Senator Elisha Abbo was captured in an Abuja adult toy shop, where he slapped and threatened a pregnant woman with a police officer.(See video below).
The Senator, although had apologized but many women believed his apology isn’t sincere. Hilda described Abbo’s apology as “Pseudo-apology”.
Kate Henshaw who recently won an award form the just concluded 7th African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA 2020), became the second Nollywood actress to call for Elisha’s exclusion from Actors Guild Patrons.
Kate has being a prominent figure in the Nigerian movie industry, spanning close to two decades.
She has featured in gross and tons of movies that include: Stronger than pain, Chief Daddy, New Money, Games Men Play, A million tears, Above Death, Aremu the principal, The Ghost and The House of Truth and many more.
