Mercy Aigbe – Why I Am Submissive To My Husband
Popular Nollywood actress and social media influencer, Mercy Aighbe who is married to a film producer, Kareem Adeoti, has revealed why she is submissive to her husband.
Mercy Aigbe and Adeoti got engaged in 2022 raising eyebrows from both Lanre Gentry, Aigbe’s ex-hubby, and Kareem’s first wife.
Speaking in a recent interview, Marcy stated that love would make one do anything for his/her partner.
She said, “Love will make one do many things, including being submissive and doing everything to please your hubby, irrespective of your status because, your husband is your head.”
According to the mother of two, “people that are saying things like that don’t love their partners, regardless of your status, one’s husband is one’s leader.”
Aigbe also said that though, she and her husband may disagree because both of them are stubborn, but always find a common ground.
She added, “We disagree, and that’s because I am very stubborn, and he is also stubborn, but we respect each other’s opinions, and we don’t argue unnecessarily.”
Mercy argued that she and Adeoti argued sensibly while showering accolades on her hubby.

Mercy said, “We argue sensibly, and then we don’t look down on each other, basically because our relationship is built on mutual understanding and respect, and that has been helping us.”
Why I Agree To Marry Adeoti
When quizzed about the qualities she saw in Kareem that enchanted her to him, the actress highlighted wisdom, communication, and understanding.
In her words, “He is a very wise person, who communicates a lot, he is very understanding, not egoistic, though he is strict.
“A great dad, who loves children, makes people around him comfortable, selfless, I like his smile and dark skin, and to cap it up, he is a fine man.
Speaking on how she manages trolling, especially in the early part of her marriage to the movie producer, Kareem Adeoti, Mercy was blunt about her business on social media stating that, she is only on social media to market her brands and more importantly she is fully in charge of her life.
She stated, “I just stayed focused. I am in charge of my life, and I know what works for me. At the end of the day, whether it is a good or bad decision, I would be the one to face the consequences. I don’t need people’s validation for whatever decision I make regarding my life.
I often tell people that I am just on social media to market things as an influencer. As a businesswoman, I sell my products; and as an actor, I advertise the movies I feature in. I choose what I want to be identified with on social media, so all the ‘craziness’ does not bother me. It would be hard for anyone to see me physically and bully me. They can only do that on social media.”
