Mr. Ibu’s Wife, Stella Maris, Daughter Disagree Over Donations, Actor Son Counter’s Stepmom

Stella Maris, the spouse of the ailing actor John Okafor, widely known as Mr Ibu, has accused Jasmine, the actor’s adopted daughter, of taking over the funds allocated for his medical procedure.

Recall that in October, Mr Ibu appealed to the public for assistance in dealing with an undisclosed illness.

Despite undergoing seven surgeries, one of his legs was amputated last week.

However, on Monday, Stella Maris, in a post on her Instagram page, claimed that Jasmine had covertly assumed control of the bank account designated for donations.

Additionally, she responded to Jasmine’s assertion that she had received ₦1 million for personal use.

Stella Maris clarified, “The ₦1 million donation that I received was paid into my account in the presence of my husband to offset some bills at the home front. I don’t understand why Jasmine, a complete stranger, should be dragging me over my family matters.

It is secretly being controlled by Jasmine yet she is cooking up all kinds of lies against me in order to keep absolute control of that account. Mr. Ibu’s Son Disclaims Step Mum’s Allegations

Meanwhile, the ailing actor second son, Daniel Okafor has debunked claims made by his stepmother, Stella Maris, regarding control of the donation account.

On reaching out to Jazmine for clarification, Jazmine declined to provide details, expressing a desire to avoid involvement in online drama and emphasizing her concern for her father’s well-being.

Instead, she directed pressmen to contact the actor’s second son, Daniel Okafor.Daniel, who dismissed Stella’s online claims, affirming that he, not Jazmine, had access to the account in question.

He clarified that he was the signatory to the account and designated as his father’s next of kin.Daniel acknowledged Stella as his stepmother but opted not to divulge further details about his biological mother, stating that she was currently unavailable.
