My husband was imprisoned for exposing corruption – Abga Jalingo’s wife

The wife of Journalist arrested and detained in Cross Rive state, Violet Agba has called on the Federal Government and the Presidential Advisory Committee on Corruption, PACAC, to intervene in her husband’s case.

The caterer and a mum accused the Cross River state government of detaining her husband for exposing corruption.

Violet voiced her pain by tweeting a reply to Osinbajo’s tweet. The Vice President had tweeted that “The fight against corruption is real and I was pleased to hear some of the strides made under the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) led by its Chairman, Prof Itse Sagay (SAN).

VP Yemi Osinbajo added: “President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration will continue the fight against corruption and will additionally ramp up efforts to ensure there is better synergy among anti-corruption agencies.”

Noting the VP’s statement, the journalist wife, whose husband has been in detention for six months for exposing corruption, replied Osinbajo’s tweet as quoted below:

My husband #FreeAgbaJalingo has being in Calabar prison for 6 months for exposing corruption in Cross River state please help me sir @ProfOsinbajoand PACAC. Help me sirs. Our life is threatened since August 22 2019 we have being runing from pillar to post.
