Omotola Jalade Ekeinde Addresses Wildfire Rumours: ‘I Did Not Flee Los Angeles’

Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has set the record straight regarding speculations that she left the United States due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles.

Taking to her Instagram account on Tuesday, the celebrated actress reassured fans of her safety while addressing the misinformation making rounds. She began by expressing gratitude for the outpouring of concern and love from her followers.

“I want to take a moment to address the incredible outpouring of concern and support I’ve received over the past few days regarding the fires in Los Angeles,” she wrote. “First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you who have reached out with kind words, prayers, and love. Your thoughtfulness means the world to me.”

While acknowledging the devastation caused by the wildfires, Omotola clarified that her recent travel was unrelated to the disaster.

“To clarify and set the record straight: My family and I are safe. However, I’ve seen reports suggesting I had to leave the United States because of the fires. This is inaccurate,” she stated.

Omotola further revealed that she has been in Nigeria since December 2024 and remains there at present.

“While I deeply cherish my connection to Los Angeles, these fires were not the reason for my travel. I kindly urge media outlets and individuals to correct this misinformation,” she added.
