Speaking in an interview, Tope Alabi stated that she needed that dance at that time. According to the gospel singer, she was dancing at her father’s burial and people with “spiritual eyes” will understand its meaning.
In her words:
“In a nutshell, i needed that dance. It was at my father’s burial. The praise was organized by my gospel artiste friends to worship God after the wake keep. I needed to worship God, I just need to worship. It is not easy to bury your father, some people died before their father. As a spiritual person, you know you need to dance.”
