The xG">Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday lost their 3rd group game against Brazil at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina.
Two goals in the first half secured the maximum three points needed by the Brazilians to top group D despite losing their opening game to Italy and having whip Dominican Republic 6-0 in their second group game.
Nigeria finished as one of the 3rd best losers in Group D with six points, Italy are second behind Brazil, with six points having trashed Dominican Republic 3-0 in the other Group D game played on Saturday.
While reacting shortly after the match, the Flying Eagles captain, Daniel Bameyi stated apologized to Nigerians while assuring the fans that they will bounce back.
We Are Capable Of Winning The Trophy – Bosso
Meanwhile, the head coach of the Nigeria U20 team, Ladan Bosso has stated that the flying Eagles can win the U20 World Cup for the first time.
Bosso, while feeding questing during a post-match interview said that his boys have the capability to lift the world cup.
Nigeria will play USA or the hosts, Argentina in the round of sixteen.
