Having lost his WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles to Oleksandr Usyk twice, some boxing fans and pundits believed Anthony Joshua should forget about the top spot in the heavyweight division.
However, one of Nigeria’s talents and a boxer, Ifeanyi Patrick known popularly as Patmola has refuted claims that the former two-time unified heavyweight champion should quit boxing.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with CitySports, Patmola identifies AJ as a fighter with a mission and would return to the limelight in a matter of time.
The young Nigerian boxer also voiced his opinion on whom he believes will triumph between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk ahead of the WBC-sanctioned unified heavyweight title.
Whilst, Usyk holds IBF, WBA, and WBO titles, Fury remains the WBC division title holder.
The unified heavyweight bout is expected to hold later this year and ahead of that fight, Patmola has exclusively told Citysports that Tyson Fury is a better fighter and he is of the opinion that the England-born-fighter will prevail against Usyk.
Patrick also speaks about boxers’ nutrition, what inspires him to the martial art called boxing, what the Nigerian government should do to resuscitate boxing glory for the country, and more.
