How Oshoala Teammates Celebrated Her Fifth CAF Women’s Player Of The Year Award

Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala wins the record fifth African Player of the Year award at the award ceremony held in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday.

The Nigeria Super Falcons and Barcelona forward beat Cameroonian Ajara Njoya and Zambian’s Grace Chanda to claim the CAF prestigious award.

Oshoala now overtakes her compatriot Perpetua Nkwocha, to stand alone as a record five-time winner of the African Player of the Year accolade.

Oshoala dedicated her award to Nigeria’s Super Falcons, praising the team for the heart they showed when losing Monday’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) semi-final on penalties despite playing nearly an hour two women down.

Oshoala’s triumph was well celebrated by her teammates who followed the award proceedings from their hotel room in Rabat. Here is how they celebrated her.
