The Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn alongside two Northern African countries and a COSAFA country in group B of the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations (Wafcon) scheduled for next July in Morocco.
Hence Group B consist of the record eleven -time continental champions Nigeria, Tunisia, Algeria and Botswana.
Tournament hosts, Morocco, were handed a potentially difficult group.
The Atlas Lionesses are in Group A and will face Zambia, DR Congo, the highest-ranked sides in pots one and three respectively, as well as Senegal.
The group looks difficult for the hosts because Zambia beat the North Africans over two legs in April to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Meanwhile, defending Champions, the Banyana Banyana of South Africa have been drawn with Ghana, Mali and Tanzania in Group C.

The top two sides in each group will progress to the quarter-finals, alongside the two best third-placed finishers.
The tournament will take place in Morocco from 5-26 July 2025.
Qualification for the 2024 Wafcon was completed in December last year, but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) was forced to push the finals into 2025 because of international football’s congested calendar, which included the participation of Nigeria and Zambia at THE Paris 2024 Olympics.
