Nollywood actress-turned-politician, Funke Akindele on Wednesday shared a depression message which sparks online reactions.
The expressions of concern erupted after Funke, in a tweet on Wednesday, shared an emotional take on the reality of depression and the value of being kind to others.
The Jenifa actress tweeted: “Depression is real. Please be kind to others. Yes, don’t trade your happiness with anything, but still, be humane in all you do. We are all on a journey in this world. Be conscious. Be aware. Share. Make peace. Take risks and be grateful for success and victory. Yet be aware, love, forgive, and stay happy.”

Funke Akindele contested alongside Jandor for the ">gubernatorial election in Lagos state as deputy governor in the last general elections held in March.
She also parted ways with her ex-husband JJC Skillz in June 2022, just before publicizing her intention to run for the deputy governor of Lagos state alongside PDP flag bearer, Jandor.
