Nigeria Beach soccer team, the Supersand Eagles, on Saturday, defeated their hosts, Mauritania 5-4 to boost their chance of reaching a first Beach Soccer AFCON after five years.
The home team scored the forth goal in about 3 minutes left in the 3rd and final period, but two quick goals from the Supersand Eagles took the game beyond the Mauritanie, and it was Nigeria who take one goal advantage into the second leg that Wll be placed in Nigeria in a week’s time.
Nigeria won the first period 2-1 but upon resumption of the second period, the Mauritania beach soccer team restore parity and went ahead before Nigeria equalized to force a 3-3 draw a the end of the second period.
