UFC 286 Welterweight challenger, Kamaru Usman, has stated that he takes pleasure in beating his opponents in their own backyards.
Kamaru will be up against, the second-ever UFC welterweight champion, Leon Edwards, on Saturday at the O2 arena as he looks forward to regaining his title.
Usman believes Leon is more under pressure than he is, despite thousands of fans that will be trooping into the O2 arena to support the British fighter, Edwards, for the trilogy fight which has been considered the biggest UFC fight.
The former champ, now the challenger, Usman, says, he will take on his opponent, the fans, and would be more pleased to silence the home crowd.
He said, “The one thing that I’ve always loved is being able to go into someone’s backyard and silence the crowd, I get more joy from that than anything else.”
Kamaru also stated that Leon’s lingering mental comments prove the UFC 286 champion is ordinary, the challenger considered himself an extraordinary person.
